Probe into circumstances surrounding woman’s death in Yalding

An investigation into what killed a woman whose body was found in a field yesterday afternoon continues today.

Police were called at around 1.15pm to Hampstead Lane in Yalding after concerns for the the welfare of a 54-year-old woman.

After attending and searching the area, the woman’s car was found nearby.

A subsequent search found a woman’s body in a nearby field.

Police, including forensic officers, will continue today to carry out enquiries and working to establish the circumstances around the woman’s death.

A post mortem is expected to be carried out later today to establish how the woman has died.
